Los Angeles Bee And Hive Removal is a very desired service in California. Here at Los Angeles Bee And Hive Removal we specialize in removing bees from your home. Many of times bees will create a hive in either your exterior walls, attic, soffits, vents and pipe holes. When treating for bees you need to make sure that you always remove not only the bees but any hive that might be present. Bee Hives consist of Honey , Pollen, Wax and pheromones. You must be certain that you have removed any and all parts of the hive because bees can smell the pheromone from up to 2 miles away. In Los Angeles Bee And Hive Removal is a very common problem. Due to the year round warm weather in California bees are much more active all year unlike the east coast where bees are only active for a few months out of the year.
In the city of Los Angeles Bee And Hive Removal can also cause a very large threat to your family and community. When bees are protecting the queen that sits inside the hive they can become very aggressive and attack people who might walk by the hive. Bees should always be approached very carefully and be handled by a professional. Not removing the hive that is left behind by the bees can cause serious damage to your home. When the bees are occupying a hive they keep the temperature of the hive cool by fanning their wings. Once the bees are gone the temperature of the hive will rise causing the honey to start to leak out and into your walls. In Los Angeles this honey works as a food source for many other animals and pests such as Raccoons, Rats, Roaches and ants and can cause rodents to chew up wires in your wall and attic resulting in Thousands of dollars worth of damage to your home.
Los Angeles Bee Removal:
A customer was working in their backyard when they got stung by a bee. After looking around they discovered that they had a bunch of bees flying in and out from under their storage shed. After calling us we arrived to the property and looked at the situation. Because we were wearing bee suits we were able to get right down to the hole under the shed and listen we heard a very large buZZing noise which told us their was a lot of activity. We treated from the outside and started to notice that most of the bees flying in had pollen on their legs which leaded us to to believe there was a hive we went inside the shed and removed a small piece of the flooring and sure enough there it was.
We then used a saw and pry bar to open up the wood floor and extract the hive these bees had been under their for years because we removed close to 200 pounds of hive and honey from underneath this shed. After removing all of the homey , pollen and wax and dead bees out we then cleaned out the area re-nailed the flooring and closed up the holes on the outside to prevent any new bees from returning to the area .
Los Angeles Bee Removal
We received a call about a large beehive in a tree at a customers home. We arrived to the home to see that it was a swarm of bees hanging from a tree branch about 30 feet high. This swarm was there because the neighbors of our customer had been neglecting a hive on their property for a long time and it got so over populated that the queen bee kicked out a swarm resulting in this. Normally a swarm of bees would not be aggressive but the neighboring kids thought that it would be amusing to throw things at it which caused these bees to become very aggressive.
The customer stated that she wanted the bees to be saved and not killed so we needed to put up a extension ladder onto the tree and climb up and carefully snip the branch of the tree and bring it down to the ground with us and transfer the bees into what is called a swarm trap. After we removed the swarm we then treated the tree branch with a preventive repellent to stop any new ones from coming back. And then we left a card on the neighbors door.

Facts About Bees
Africanized Honey Bees (killer bees)
Honey bees wings can flutter 11,400 times per minute and but a bees flight speed is only 15 miles per hour. Another intresting fact that not many people know is that a bee has five eyes. Honeybees‘ stingers have a barb which anchors the stinger in the victim’s body. The bee leaves its stinger and venom sack behind and soon dies. Africanized Honey Bees (killer bees) will pursue an enemy 1/4 mile or more. A single hive contains approximately 40-45,000 bees.
Some info about queen bees:
A queen can lay 3,000 eggs in a day. Queens can live for up to 2 years. A queen can lay her weight in eggs in one day and 200,000 eggs in a year. Fertilized eggs will become female offspring, while unfertilized eggs will become males. Worker Bees The workers are sexually undeveloped females. Life expectancy is approximately 28 to 35 days. Bees have been producing honey for at least 150 million years. The honeycomb is composed of hexagonal cells with walls that are only 2/1000 inch thick, but support 25 times their own weight. Honey is nectar that bees have repeatedly regurgitated and dehydrated. In the course of her lifetime, a worker bee will produce 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey. To make one pound of honey, workers in a hive fly 55,000 miles and tap two million flowers. Theoretically, the energy in one ounce of honey would provide one bee with enough energy to fly around the world. The honeybee is not born knowing how to make honey; the younger bees are taught by the more experienced ones.
